Ch3: World, meet Plot
In our previous posts, we shared why we started Plot and our perspective on what brands need today. Now it's time to share how we are building our first client's brand (our own!)
Step 1—Definitions

Our first step was identifying the value we seek to bring to the market. We saw a gap that needed filling: while companies are racing to adapt to fast-moving markets, branding struggles to keep up (search #Blanding; #CreativeEthics, #BrandFail, #GenericMarketing, etc.) As unlikely as it seems in 2025, in our conversations we identified the distance between strategy and digital execution as a major pain point.
This is where we centered our approach: combining deep experience in branding and digital platforms to help companies turn their stories into living systems that work as well in code as they do in conversation. It's about bridging the gap between strategy and execution, helping businesses move as quickly as they now need to, supported by technology and without losing their narrative thread.
Step 2—Story

With Plot addressing multiple, interrelated pains, our story needed a clear structure that could grow over time. Using our mapping tool, we organized the core elements of who we are and what we do. At its highest point: strategic thinking meets rapid execution. With this clear foundation, our story can be re-focused around our client’s priorities and flows naturally whether we're in a quick conversation or deep in strategy work. It articulates how we’re helping companies move markets, not just respond to them.
Step 3—System

This understanding also shaped how we built our visual identity. Rather than using the traditional creative toolkit, we architected a visual and verbal language to support rapid iteration while maintaining conceptual continuity. It will evolve with us and our story—exactly what we promise our clients.
Step 4—Activation

The real test of any approach is how it performs in practice. Since deciding to launch Plot in late January, we've moved quickly but purposefully—announcing our studio three weeks ago, launching this blog series, and beginning conversations with potential clients. Each step builds on the previous, creating momentum while strengthening our story.
Through this process, we’re also gaining valuable insights about how brands move them and shape markets—an ongoing process we’ll keep sharing with you all.
